Big decision of UP government: Cooks, Shikshamitras and school workers will get cashless treatment, families will also be beneficiaries.
The Uttar Pradesh government has taken an important step for lakhs of workers associated with the education and nutrition system. Now the process of providing cashless medical facilities to the cooks, teachers, Shikshamitras, special teachers and other employees associated with council schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBV) and PM Nutrition Scheme has been expedited. The most important thing is that the benefit of this facility will not be limited only to the employees, but their families will also get the benefit of health security.
Who will be within the scope of the scheme?
Under this system being prepared by the government, teachers, Shikshamitras, instructors, special teachers, KGBV staff, cooks of PM Nutrition Scheme and other support staff working in the schools of Basic Education Council will be included. Apart from this, their dependent family members will also be beneficiaries of the scheme. This will provide relief to thousands of families who face financial challenges during serious illness or emergency medical expenses.
Special emphasis on training and implementation
To effectively implement the scheme, the Basic Education Department has decided to organize special training programs. Nodal officers will be appointed at the district level, who will monitor the registration of beneficiaries and the operation of the scheme. The objective of the government is to ensure that the benefits of health facilities reach the eligible employees on time without any complicated process.
Treatment will be available in private hospitals also
The biggest advantage of this initiative of the government will be that the beneficiaries will not have to be limited to only government hospitals. Eligible employees and their families will also be able to get cashless treatment in listed private hospitals. This will ease access to better medical facilities and reduce the financial burden on treatment of serious diseases.
Health security will strengthen the education system
Experts believe that the strength of any education system depends on its human resources. When teachers, Shikshamitras, cooks and other staff are free from health concerns, they will be able to perform their tasks with more dedication and efficiency. This step is not limited to the welfare of the employees only, but is also considered an important effort towards strengthening school education and child nutrition programs.
Important initiative towards social security
This scheme of Uttar Pradesh government will act as a social security cover for the employees associated with the education sector. In the era of rising medical expenses, the facility of cashless treatment will not only provide financial relief to millions of families but will also make their access to health services easier. In the coming times, this initiative is being seen as a plan to bring positive changes in both the education and health sectors of the state.
