Big relief to farmers of Delhi: Alternative residential plots will be available in the next three months

There is great news for the farmers of Delhi whose land was acquired for development projects. Now such farmers will be given alternative residential plots in exchange for their acquired land. Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has issued official notice in this regard and the entire process is targeted to be completed within the next three months.

Long standing demand of farmers fulfilled

Giving information, BJP MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said that the years old demand of the farmers of Delhi is now going to be fulfilled. Farmers whose applications related to alternative residential plots have been sent to DDA after scrutiny and recommendation by the Land and Building Department of Delhi Government, will be allotted plots within three months as per the prescribed procedure. He said that this decision has brought relief to thousands of farmer families, who were waiting for their rights for a long time.

Information issued after the meeting with the Lieutenant Governor

According to Bidhuri, after the meeting with Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu, DDA Vice Chairman Dr. N. Sarwan Kumar has issued official instructions in this regard. After this, it has been decided to speed up the plot allotment process so that eligible farmers can get benefits as soon as possible.

Expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the government

Welcoming this decision, MP Bidhuri expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on behalf of the farmers. He said that the government has taken positive steps by taking the problems of farmers seriously.

What will farmers have to do?

Eligible farmers will have to check their documents and keep them updated. Also, it has to be ensured that their application is approved by the Land and Building Department and sent to DDA. If there is any deficiency in any document, it should be corrected as soon as possible.

Apart from this, farmers have been advised to keep checking the official website of DDA from time to time for updates, so that they can remain aware of any new information related to the plot allotment process.
