Ingredients required to make Til Bugga
To make Til Bugga you need:-
100 grams white sesame seeds
200 grams khoya
200 grams powdered sugar (can increase or decrease as per taste)
half teaspoon green cardamom powder
If you want, you can also use almonds, cashews or pistachios for garnish.
How to make Til Bugga
First of all, filter and clean the sesame seeds thoroughly so that no pebbles remain.
Dry roast the sesame seeds. Keep the flame light and fry while stirring continuously until it turns golden.
Take out the roasted sesame seeds in a plate, cool it and then grind it finely. If you like whole sesame seeds then keep 2-3 spoons aside.
Put khoya in a pan and heat it for some time, until ghee starts coming out of it.
Now mix hot khoya in ground sesame seeds. When it cools down slightly, add powdered sugar and cardamom powder.
Mix everything well with hands so that the mixture becomes suitable for making balls. Add saved whole sesame seeds to it also.
Make small balls from the mixture and press gently. If you want, you can keep almonds or pistachios in the middle.
That’s it, your Til Bugga is ready. It tastes good and maintains health in winters.
Sweets will refresh childhood memories
Til Bugga melts in the mouth and it reminds many people of their childhood. In my childhood, during winters, my father used to bring Til Bugga from the confectionery shop and feed it on special occasions. Even today, Til Bugga is a favorite choice of people at various sweets stalls in the markets.
