7. Cashews – 10-12 (finely chopped)

8. Almonds – 10-12 (finely chopped)

9. Pistachios – 8-10 (finely chopped)

10. Saffron – 10-12 strands (optional)

11. Dried coconut flakes – for garnishing

Method:

1. Prepare the gourd: Firstly, peel the gourd and grate it. Now squeeze the grated gourd lightly and remove its excess water. This will make the sweet taste even better.

2. Cook in milk: Heat milk in a large pan and add grated bottle gourd to it. Cook it on medium flame till the milk dries up completely. Cook the bottle gourd slowly so that it mixes well with the milk and becomes soft.

3. Add mawa and ghee: When the milk dries completely, add mawa to it and mix it well. Now add ghee and fry the mixture well for 5-7 minutes so that the mixture of gourd, mawa and ghee gets cooked properly and its color becomes light golden.

4. Add sugar and spices: Now add sugar and cook it till the sugar dissolves completely and the sweet thickens a bit. After this, add cardamom powder, cashews, almonds, pistachios and saffron and mix everything well.

5. Preparation and decoration: When the mixture is cooked well and ghee starts leaving from the sides, turn off the gas. Let the sweet cool down. After cooling, cut it in your desired shape and decorate it by adding dry coconut powder and chopped nuts on top.
