Make delicious Mango Shrikhand at home in summer, learn the easy recipe

To get relief from the scorching heat and humidity outside, people often look for a dish which is delicious as well as cool. In such a situation, Amrakhand (Mango Shrikhand) is a great option. This popular sweet from Maharashtra and Gujarat is prepared from curd and ripe mango. Its creamy texture and wonderful taste of mango is liked by everyone from children to adults. The good thing is that it can be made very easily at home. Let us know the recipe of Mango Shrikhand.
Material
- Thick curd (hung curd) – 2 cups
- Ripe mango pulp – 1 cup
- Powdered sugar-4-5 tbsp
- Cardamom powder-1/2 tsp
- Saffron threads -8-10
- Milk-1 tablespoon
- Chopped almonds and pistachios for decoration
Method
1-First of all, tie the curd in a muslin cloth and hang it in the refrigerator for 4-5 hours or overnight.
2-This will remove excess water from the curd and thick hung curd will be prepared.
3-If you are using saffron, soak it in one tablespoon lukewarm milk for 10 minutes.
4-Take hung curd in a big bowl. Add mango pulp, powdered sugar, cardamom powder and soaked saffron in it. Beat everything well, so that the mixture becomes very smooth and creamy.
5-Keep the prepared mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours. This will make its taste even better.
6-Take out the mangoes in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios. Serve Amrakhand chilled.
