‘Make in India, not Leak in India’: Security tightened across Delhi; CJP protest draws hundreds at Jantar Mantar

New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) held its first major on-ground mobilization at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, drawing hundreds of participants, including school and college students, in a protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged exam irregularities.

Students, youth join protest with slogans and masks

Protesters raised slogans such as “Dharmendra Pradhan Istifa Do” and “We asked for Make in India, you gave us Leak in India,” as many attendees wore cockroach masks and carried flowers during the demonstration.

The CJP protest was largely youth-driven, with participation from school and college students.

Demand for resignation of Education Minister

The demonstrators called for the resignation of the Union Education Minister, alleging repeated irregularities in competitive examinations including NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC recruitment tests.

CJP claims peaceful mobilization, urges discipline

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who arrived from the United States ahead of the protest, urged supporters to maintain discipline and ensure that the demonstration remained peaceful. The event was held under permitted conditions following discussions with Delhi Police, according to organisers.

Security tightened across Delhi

Delhi Police stepped up security across the national capital ahead of the protest, deploying additional personnel at key locations including the airport, railway stations, inter-state bus terminals and border entry points.

Barricades were placed around sensitive areas, while vehicle checks were intensified across routes leading to central Delhi.

Support from activists and wider mobilization concerns

Activist Sonam Wangchuk expressed support for the movement and said he would undertake a six-week fast if Dipke were arrested. He also urged protesters to remain peaceful and cooperate with authorities.

CJP emerges as online youth movement

The CJP, which began as an online campaign, has gained traction on social media in recent weeks by raising concerns over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests, including NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC exams.
