Dhokla Recipe

  • Wash gram dal, add 3 cups of water and soak for 3-4 hours.
  • – Now put the gram dal in the grinder and grind it like a smooth batter in a big mixing bowl and keep it overnight to ferment.
  • Now add grated ginger, green chilli paste, curd, oil, turmeric powder and salt to the batter and mix well.
  • – Now add baking soda and lemon juice, mix it and apply some oil on a steaming tray and put the batter in the tray.
  • – Now let the batter steam for 15 minutes and take out the dough from the steamer and cut it into small square pieces.
  • – Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, green chilli pieces, asafoetida, sugar and sweet neem and pour the tadka over the khaman pieces. – Now serve it garnished with chopped fresh green coriander.
