Protein is found in abundance in it and it has a cooling effect, hence consumption of Sattu is considered very beneficial in summer. Although Sattu is easily available in the market, it is often adulterated, due to which both its nutrients and taste are reduced. The good thing is that you can make pure and tasty black gram sattu at home with a little effort. Here we know the method of making black gram sattu.

Method
- First of all, clean the black gram thoroughly so that dust or pebbles are removed from it.
- Take a kadhai or heavy bottom pan. Fry the chickpeas on medium flame for 15–20 minutes. Keep stirring occasionally, so that the gram does not burn.
- When the gram becomes crunchy and a light aroma starts emanating, turn off the gas. Let the roasted gram cool completely.
- If you want, you can lightly crush the chickpeas and remove their skin. This makes Sattu even finer and tastier.
- Grind the cooled chana finely in a mixer or grinder. Your Sattu is ready.
