Navratri Fodd Sattu Tikki: If we are fasting on the holy occasion of Navratri, then during the fast we make different things so that the taste remains good. You must be eating Sattu Paratha, Sattu's salty and sweet sherbet a lot, but have you ever made Sattu Tikki and eaten it? You may have eaten only potato tikkis till now, but now try eating sattu tikkis. Sattu is rich in nutritious elements. It is prepared by roasting and grinding black gram.

Sattu has a cooling effect, hence it is advised to eat it in summer. The recipe for making Sattu Tikki has been shared by celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala on her Instagram. Let us know how Yasmin makes Sattu Tikki and what ingredients are required to make it.

Ingredients for making Sattu Tikki

➤1 cup Sattu
➤1 boiled potato
➤1 onion finely chopped
➤3-4 chopped fresh coriander
➤1 tablespoon lemon juice
➤1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
➤2 green chillies
➤1 teaspoon salt
➤1/2 tsp red chilli powder
➤1/2 tsp coriander powder
➤1/2 tsp dry mango powder
➤1/4 tsp turmeric powder
 

How to make Sattu Tikki

➤ Boil the potatoes, peel them and remove the peel. Finely chop green chillies and onions. Wash coriander leaves and chop them finely.

➤Prepare ginger-garlic paste. If you want, you can also buy a packet of ginger-garlic paste from the market.

➤Put mashed potatoes in it. Then add chilli, onion, coriander leaves, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, salt as per taste,

➤Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder etc. and mix well.

➤Now add some water to it and knead it. Make it exactly like potato bharta so that you can make the ball and give it the shape of tikki.

➤Make small balls and press with hands to give them the shape of tikki. Heat a pan.

➤Put 3-4 tikkis in it at a time and fry them by turning them till they turn golden brown.

➤Apply some oil on both sides. Sattu tikki is ready. Enjoy eating it with green or red chutney.
