  • 2 cups flour or semolina
  • 200 grams khoya
  • half teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tbsp cardamom powder
  • 1 teaspoon rose water

  • To make Gulab Jamun, first mash the khoya well. When the khoya is mashed, add flour or semolina to it. After that prepare the dough for Gulab Jamun by adding baking soda to it.
  • Now roll the dough well and cut the dough into small pieces and make small balls of the dough. Place all these on a plate and cover them well with a wet towel and take care that the balls do not dry out.
  • Now place a pan on medium flame and add 3 cups of water to it and boil it. Add 2-3 cups of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of rose water and 2 pinches of cardamom powder to it. Now let this mixture boil until you get a string of syrup. When one string of syrup is ready. So, keep it aside.
  • Now heat another pan on medium flame and add ghee in it. When the ghee is well heated, add the wet balls one by one and deep fry until they become dark brown. When all the balls are cooked, put them in sugar syrup and soak for 30-40 minutes. You will see that the Gulab Jamuns have swelled completely.
  • Now serve these instant gulab jamuns hot with a little sugar syrup to your guests.
