Chandigarh:Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema launched a scathing political attack on the BJP-led central government, alleging that it is hatching a ‘big plan and conspiracy’ to ruin the farmers of Punjab and sell India’s agriculture to the US through the so-called ‘India-US deal’.

Warning of impact on farmers: Addressing the media at the party office, Cheema warned that if cheap American milk powder, cheese, grains and other agricultural products start coming to India at low prices, it will directly crush the farmers of Punjab and the entire country. Taking a direct aim at Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar, Cheema said that Jakhar is holding press conferences and claiming that Punjab will benefit, but the BJP does not have the courage to respond to the tweet of the US Agriculture Secretary.

Cheema asked a direct question to Jakhar and BJP leadership that do you have the courage to quote this statement through tweet and reply to America? Cheema demanded that Sunil Jakhar, BJP Working President Ashwini Sharma and BJP MP Ravneet Bittu immediately make the documents of this deal public before the people of Punjab, farmers of India and common citizens of the country.
