Malaysian man arrested for alleged murder of mother, hiding body in freezer
A man in Malaysia has been arrested for allegedly murdering his own mother and hiding her body in a freezer.
The police chief of Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur, Rusdi Mohd Isa, said the police received a report about the matter on Tuesday. The suspect called emergency services due to health issues, alerting the police to what might have happened, The Straits Times reported.
The man, 53, allegedly murdered an elderly woman in her 80s, believed to be his mother, before hiding her body inside a freezer in a house in Taman Overseas Union Garden. The body had been hidden inside the freezers for three years, Daily Rays reported.
A neighbor said the suspect had lived in the house for over 10 years, The Star reported.
Rusdi said the body had been taken to the Universiti Malaya Medical Center for a post-mortem examination. The suspect is now being investigated for murder, he added.
