Malti Chahar dismissed dating rumours with Amaal Mallik, clarifying their relationship and addressing the speculation fans spread during Bigg Boss 19.
On Tuesday, the 35-year-old actress took to X (formerly Twitter) with a note responding the rumours.
She wrote, “Let’s clear this once and for all. Amaal and I had no relationship or any kind of ‘ship’. He asked for my number, and we met only once… On the show, when I said ‘bahar ki baat nahi karenge’, I meant that I would not share his personal information.”
She continued, “It was disrespectful of Amaal to create a narrative on the show suggesting that I was trying to impress him and to make derogatory remarks about me, something I saw only after coming out of the BB house. Yes, he mentioned his mental health a few times, both before and during the show.”
Moreover, she added, “I was empathetic and tried to help in the moment so he wouldn’t have more regrets later. Now, I’m the one regretting it. That’s all. Spare me now. Please don’t associate my name with his. Thanks.”
For the unversed, she had entered in the show as a wildcard contestant and quickly headed towards Amaal’s group.
During her time inside, she revealed that she knew the music composer from outside the house, while he mentioned that they had only met once at a party.
At one point, she mentioned that he had messaged her “hey gorgeous” on WhatsApp, which upset him. Fans took these moments as signs of a possible “secret romance.”
Meanwhile, the season ended with Gaurav Khanna lifting the trophy. He beat Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, and Tanya Mittal to win the title on Salman Khan’s show. Along with the trophy, Gaurav also took home ₹50 lakh.
