Mamata Banerjee slapped a worker during Baruipur protest, BJP targeted
Former Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee allegedly slapped a worker of his own party during a protest organized against the Baruipur incident. After the video of this incident surfaced, the stir in the politics of the state has intensified and the opposition BJP Has targeted Trinamool Congress (TMC) regarding this.
According to the information, suddenly an atmosphere of chaos was created during the demonstration outside Mamata Banerjee’s residence in Kalighat. Mamata Banerjee herself reached down to control the crowd. During this, he allegedly slapped a person. It is being told that the person was a TMC worker. However, no official information has been revealed yet regarding the reason for the slapping.
After the incident, BJP launched a scathing attack on Mamata Banerjee. Union Minister Sukant Majumdar Said that such incidents raise questions on his “mental stability” and the political atmosphere in the state is continuously deteriorating.
Addressing the protest, Mamata Banerjee alleged that her party’s IT cell chairman was attacked and the police did not provide him adequate security. He said that despite getting permission from the High Court to use hand mics, the police snatched the mics from his workers and many workers were beaten up.
Mamata Banerjee also expressed concern about law and order in the state. She alleged that several serious crimes have taken place against women in the last two months and the administration has failed to handle the situation. He appealed to all parties to resolve the disputes peacefully.
At present, no official clarification has been issued by TMC regarding the slapping incident, while political rhetoric regarding this matter has intensified.
