Man Kills Live-in Partner, Stuffs Body in Fridge for 6 Months in Madhya Pradesh | Read

The decomposed body of a woman was found inside a refrigerator in a house in the Dewas area in Madhya Pradesh.

The incident came to light after neighbours complained of a foul smell from there. The tenant opened the part of the room on Friday that the landlord had rented to another man, and found a woman’s body stuffed in the fridge.

As per reports, the saree-clad woman had jewellery on her body and her hands were tied with a noose around her neck. Police suspected that she may have been killed last year. The house is located in Vrindavan Dham Colony under Bank Note Press police station limits. The police nabbed the tenant within hours and as per reports, the suspect and the victim were in a live-in relationship for five years.

“The woman is in her 30s. We suspect she was killed in June 2024. After a foul smell started emanating, neighbours called the landlord who opened a portion of the house. The woman’s body was found in the refrigerator, the shelves of which had been removed. He then alerted police,” Dewas Superintendent of Police Puneet Gehlot told reporters.

The police added that Sanjay Patidar, a resident of Ingoriya, Ujjain, lived in this house with his live-in partner Pratibha alias Pinky Prajapati. He vacated the house in March 2024 but kept some of his belongings in the front room. In return, he had promised to pay rent to landlord Dhirendra Srivastava.

“But since then he did not pay the rent but kept coming from time to time and taking the goods. Even Dhirendra did not seem to know about it. When the rent was not paid for 10 months, Dhirendra asked Balveer to break the lock of the room. After this Pinky’s dead body was found,” the police added.
