Kohli made this record by hitting a four off leg spinner Aditya Ashok. He is still second only to Sachin Tendulkar in terms of total runs scored. ‘If we had been batting first, we would have played better..’

Talking about his innings, Kohli made it clear that he was not thinking about records or milestones. He said, ‘To be honest, I am not thinking about any record at this time. Had we been batting first, perhaps I would have played more aggressively but since the target was in front, I had to play according to the situation.

 

Regarding batting at number three, he said that now he trusts himself and tries to play aggressively even in difficult situations. He believes that there is no use in just waiting but one should not take unnecessary risks either.

 

Kohli also told that he sends most of the awards he receives to his mother. Smiling, he said, ‘I send my awards to my mother. He likes to preserve them.
