New Delhi. An incident in Bengaluru can prove how costly negligence can be in the case of firecrackers on Diwali. It is reported that the person sitting on the compartment after lighting the firecrackers died during the explosion. This painful incident has also been captured in CCTV. At present, the police have registered the case and 6 people have been arrested and presented before the court.
According to media reports, 32-year-old Shabarish was challenged by six friends to sit on a firecracker box. Now the young man, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, accepted the challenge. The condition was that firecrackers would be lit under the box and he would sit on top of that box. It is being said that he was promised to get an auto if the condition was fulfilled.
All the people involved in this challenge were allegedly drunk. It is seen in the CCTV video that a youth is sitting on the compartment and many youths are standing nearby. They suddenly set the compartment on fire and run to the rescue, but the young man who accepted the challenge remains seated. Within a few moments the gunpowder catches fire and a loud explosion occurs.

It is seen in the video that immediately after the explosion, the person sitting on the compartment falls to the ground. By the time the people there reached there to see him amidst the clouds of smoke, he was lying on the ground. According to media reports, police say that the youth was taken to the hospital, where he died on Saturday.
