Manankheda police recovered MD drug worth Rs 20 lakh, two accused smuggling in Swift car also arrested

While taking action in the ongoing campaign against illegal drug smugglers in the district, Ringnod police of the district has succeeded in arresting two accused by seizing a Swift car carrying 200 grams of MD drug worth Rs 20 lakh.

According to police sources, on the evening of 16.01.2026, police received information from the informer that two persons were bringing MD drugs in a Swift car number GJ05JE0428. On information, they laid siege in front of Manankheda post and took effective action following the provisions of NDPS Act. Two accused in the car – 01. Iftar father Iqbal Khan caste Mewati Muslim, age 25 years, resident of village Daudkhedi police station YD Nagar Mandsaur, 02. Wasim father Yusuf Khan caste Mir Pathan, age 25 years resident village Daud Khedi police station YD Nagar Mandsaur, were captured. 200 grams of MD drugs were seized and the accused were arrested. The arrested accused are being interrogated in relation to the seized MD drugs.

In seizing the illegal MD drug, Inspector Anand Singh Azad police station in-charge Ringnod, Sub Inspector Rajesh Malviya outpost in-charge Manankhedi, S.P.R.658 Harshvardhan Singh, R.801 Ghanshyam Kumawat, R.895 Santosh Kumar, 1156 Anil Dangi, S.1149 Suresh Upadhyay, S.1058 Jalam Singh and S.82 Shantilal Bamnia. Cyber cell chief R Manmohan Sharma and R Mayank Vyas played a commendable role.
