Manchester United monitoring Ayoub Bouaddi amid midfield rebuild?
Manchester United have reportedly carried out further checks on Lille midfielder Ayoub Bouaddi as the club continues to explore options to strengthen its midfield ahead of the new season. However, it is important to note that the development remains a transfer rumour and there has been no official confirmation from either club.
According to Sky Sports, United scouts have monitored the highly rated Morocco international during the past week. The report suggests the 17-year-old is one of several midfielders being assessed after the club missed out on Mateus Fernandes, who completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Bouaddi is regarded as one of Europe’s brightest young midfield prospects. His performances for Lille have attracted attention from several top clubs in recent months thanks to his composure on the ball, technical quality and maturity despite his young age.
The report adds that Bouaddi is not the only midfielder under consideration at Old Trafford. Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni, Bristol City’s Alex Scott, Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha and Burnley’s Sander Berge are also believed to be on United’s shortlist as the recruitment team evaluates different profiles.
At this stage, there is no indication that Manchester United have submitted an offer or opened formal negotiations with Lille. The reported checks appear to be part of the club’s scouting process as it weighs multiple options before making a decision in the transfer market.
