Mango : How to know if mango is sweet or not? Use this trick
Mango | Summer is mango season. Like every year, this year too, the purchase of the king of fruits is going strong. People want mangoes that are juicy, plump and affordable. More than 1500 varieties of mango are found in India. But often, a mango that looks beautiful, yellow and attractive on the outside turns out to be raw, bland or spoiled on the inside. So, despite spending money, the expected taste is not available. If you too want to have a sweet, juicy and perfectly ripe mango every time, there are some important things to keep in mind while shopping.
First check the stem of the mango. A light sweet aroma comes from near the stem of a ripe mango. The scent may resemble pineapple, melon, or flowers. If there is no smell, the mango may still be unripe. Also if there is a sour, pungent or strange smell, it is likely that the mango is spoiled.
Another important thing is to gently squeeze the mango. A fully ripe mango feels slightly soft when lightly pressed. In such mangoes, the pulp is well formed and it is sweet to eat. If the mango feels too hard, it may still be unripe. If it feels too soft, it may be overripe or spoiling.
It is also important to look at the weight of the mango. Although medium in size, the mango feels a bit heavy in the hand and is usually juicy and sweet. Because there is a lot of heat in it. Mangoes that feel bland can often be dry on the inside, less juicy, or less flavorful.
A mango is generally considered good if it is round, plump and evenly raised. Such mangoes are high in sugar. Very thin, crooked or flattened mangoes can sometimes turn out to be less juicy or less flavorful. Mango
When you buy a Hapus mango in the market, look for its color. A well-ripened hapu appears light golden-yellow in color. There are not many green spots on the bark. If there is a sweet and flowery aroma coming from near the stem, then the mango is more likely to be sweet.
When choosing a saffron mango, its aroma and softness are important. If this mango has a strong sweet smell near the stem, then it is ripe. If the edges feel soft when lightly pressed, then it is ready to eat.
While buying mangoes, never buy mangoes that are too bright or artificially colored.
