Viral video of Manimahesh Yatra: IFS officer shows garbage spreading on the mountains

Irresponsible Tourism Viral Video: A viral video emerging from the sacred Manimahesh Yatra in Himachal Pradesh has once again sparked a debate on irresponsible tourism and the damage it is causing to the environment. This video has been shared by IFS officer Parveen Kaswan on his Instagram account. The video shows the scene from the Manimahesh Yatra route, where plastic and garbage are seen spread everywhere on the high mountains.

The special thing is that this view is at an altitude of about 13,000 feet, where nature is considered to be the most sensitive. Along with the video, Parveen Kaswan wrote, “Are the mountains really calling us? See this scene from Manimahesh Yatra, even at an altitude of 13,000 feet we are leaving our mark.”

People got angry after watching the video

As soon as the video surfaced, people started reacting sharply on social media. Within a few hours this video has been viewed more than 17 thousand times. Users have expressed their displeasure over the carelessness of passengers and devotees. People say that in the name of religious faith and spirituality, the mountains have been turned into a dustbin.

Many users raised the question that what kind of faith is it to dirty a place which people consider sacred. Plastic bottles, packets and other garbage are not only damaging the beauty of the mountains, but are also becoming a threat to local water sources and biodiversity.

respect nature

In the comment section, many people have demanded strict rules, better waste management and increased surveillance during travel. Some users took a dig at the famous line “Mountains are calling” and said that the mountains are not calling, but humans are harming them.

At the same time, many people appealed to the travelers to be responsible and respect nature while traveling or going on pilgrimage. This video has come out as a warning that if action is not taken in time, then the coming generations will probably be able to see the real beauty of these mountains only in photographs.
