Legacy of Leadership

Born in Punjab in 1932, Manmohan Singh served as Prime Minister from 2004 to 2014. A key architect of India’s economic liberalization in 1991, Singh was widely respected for his calm demeanor and visionary policies. He retired from the Rajya Sabha earlier this year, having served 33 years in the house.

Dr. Singh is survived by his family and a nation grateful for his contributions to its progress.
