The film was in controversies even before its release

The story of the film revolves around three girls, who go to Kerala for further studies. There an alleged conspiracy is shown to force them to convert to religion by luring them into the trap of love and marriage. The film shows how their lives are ruined by taking advantage of false promises, love and trust.

The first part of the film The Kerala Story was released in the year 2023 and achieved huge success at the box office. The film had a net collection of around Rs 241.74 crore in India, while its total worldwide collection was around Rs 302 crore.

Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Sumit Galawat and Arjan Singh Aujla starrer The Kerala Story 2 has collected domestic collections of around Rs 22.34 crore in the first seven days of its release. At the same time, the worldwide collection of the film has reached around Rs 23.75 crore.
Although the controversy regarding the film is still going on, but despite this the curiosity of the audience remains and the film seems to be earning steady at the box office.
