On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have congratulated the countrymen and given the message of love, compassion and harmony. He said, “On the auspicious occasion of Christmas, I extend my hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the countrymen, especially the Christian brothers and sisters. Christmas, a festival of joy and happiness, gives the message of love and compassion. This festival reminds us of the sacrifice made by Lord Jesus Christ for the welfare of humanity. This festival inspires us to further strengthen the spirit of peace, harmony, equality and service in the society. Let us all resolve to follow the path shown by Jesus Christ and build such a society. Do it where the feeling of kindness and harmony is promoted.”
Prime Minister Modi also wished the countrymen through X-Post on the occasion of Christmas. “Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas filled with peace, compassion and hope. May the teachings of Jesus Christ strengthen harmony in our society,” the Prime Minister said in his message. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan wrote in the X-post, “Merry Christmas. Hearty congratulations to you on the occasion of Christmas! May this festival shower happiness, joy, affection and love in your life. May every heart be prosperous and happy with the sacred spirit of service, harmony and brotherhood, best wishes.” Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote in the X-post, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Christmas. On this occasion, I pray to Lord Jesus Christ for happiness, peace and prosperity in the state.”
