Marathi flag planted! Invitation to 19 winners of National ‘Veer Gatha 5.0’ competition from Maharashtra on the path of duty

The results of the national level competition ‘Project Veer Gatha 5.0’ organized jointly by Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education and MyGov on the background of Republic Day of India has been announced, in which the students of Maharashtra have proved their supremacy at the national level by performing remarkably. The highest number of ‘Super 100’ winners in the country are 19 students from Maharashtra, including 14 girls and 5 boys. The ‘Veer Gatha’ initiative started from 2021 under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to mark the 75th year of independence is being implemented to inculcate the sense of patriotism among the students and to introduce the valor of bravery awardees. This year’s ‘Veer Gatha 5.0’ is its fifth edition, and it received huge response from all over the country.

Students from 23 states and union territories of India participated in this competition. Interestingly, this year, for the first time, 91 CBSE schools from 18 countries abroad have participated in this competition, out of which four foreign students have also won the national title. As many as 1.92 crore students from across the country registered for the competition, highlighting the growing importance of this initiative. Students from Maharashtra effectively presented their creativity and patriotic thoughts in various forms of painting, poetry, paragraph writing and multimedia presentation.

In the Primary Group (Class 3rd to 5th), Sanvi Bhingarde (Poetry), Vardhan Phalke (Painting), Janhvi Khot (Paragraph Writing), Vedika Kavitake (Paragraph Writing), Vidhi Wankhede (Painting) and Manjushree Ghorpade (Paragraph Writing) achieved success at the national level. In the secondary group (Class 6 to 8), Arpit Jadhav and Savi Mudrale won in multimedia presentation, while Shravani Sankpal (poetry), Shivank Khode and Shaurya Lekule (painting), and Shreya Umbarkar, Aditya Gaikwad and Shamika Gawandi won in paragraph writing. In the higher secondary group (Class 9 to 10), Avni Khori (Painting) and Samiksha Moser (Paragraph Writing), while in Class 11 to 12, Diksha Yelmar and Siddhi Ramugade (Paragraph Writing) won the national award.

These 100 national winners will be felicitated with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each and a memento by the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Education at a special ceremony in New Delhi. Also, these students will also get the honor of being present as ‘special guests’ at the grand Republic Day function on January 26, 2026 on the duty path.
