Marathwada News : Fund of Rs 300 crore approved for this important road project in Marathwada
Marathwada News | The Maharashtra government has taken an important step for the Ahmedpur to Udgir road project in Marathwada. The government has sanctioned a fund of Rs 300 crore for this road. Former Minister and MLA Sanjay Bansode gave information about this. An atmosphere of happiness has been created among the citizens of the area as this question, which has been pending for many years, finally got its way.
Thousands of passengers, farmers, traders and freight vehicles ply the Ahmedpur-Udgir route every day. This road plays a very important role in transporting the produce to the markets, especially in this agricultural region. Also, this road is of special importance in terms of development of Marathwada as it is a major communication route connecting Udgir, Ahmedpur, Shirur Tajband, Hali and many villages in the area.
However, the condition of this road had deteriorated in the last few years. Citizens had to suffer a lot due to huge potholes, inadequate infrastructure and narrow roads. In this background, former minister and MLA Sanjay Bansode consistently followed up at the government level. Meetings were held with the officials of the concerned department, repeated representations were submitted to the government and the seriousness of the road was shown. Finally, their pursuit has been successful and a fund of Rs 300 crore has been approved for State Highway No. 249 of Purna-Palam-Ranisavargaon-Kalegaon-Ahmedpur-Shirur Tajband-Hali-Udgir.
Strengthening, widening of the road, necessary bridge construction and construction of various safety facilities will be done from this fund. Therefore, travel on this route will be safer, faster and easier and trade, industry, agriculture and education sector will also get a big boost.
Speaking about this, MLA Sanjay Bansode said, “The issue of Ahmedpur-Udgir road was pending for many years. Citizens were facing a lot of hardship. The demand of the public has been effectively conveyed to the government and the work will start soon. Marathwada News
