Immediately after the marriage, ₹ 1.25 lakh is sent directly to the joint bank account of the husband and wife, so that they can easily start their new life. The remaining ₹1.25 lakh is made a fixed deposit (FD) for three years, which gets interest on maturity. This money proves to be very helpful in purchasing new household items, studies or starting any small work. Keep in mind that this benefit is available only on first marriage and one has to apply for it within three years of marriage. Who can take advantage of this scheme? Before applying, please check whether you are eligible for it or not: One of the boys or girls should be from Scheduled Caste (SC) and the other from any other caste. One of the candidates should be a permanent resident of Haryana. This should be the first marriage of both of them. The marriage should be legally registered. The application process is easy, you just need to have all the documents complete: Marriage Certificate: Legal certificate of your marriage. Caste Certificate: Caste certificate of both, especially those who are from Scheduled Caste, their certificate is necessary. Identity Card: Aadhar Card and Family Identity Card (PPP). Bank Account: Copy of passbook of joint bank account opened in both the names. Residence and Age Certificate: Domicile of Haryana and 10th mark sheet or birth certificate for date of birth.
