Maruti Brezza Facelift In Nexa Blue: What It’ll Look Like

Maruti Suzuki has been working on an update for its popular sub-4-metre SUV Brezza for some time now. The SUV has been spotted testing, and based on the spy pictures and videos, we have also started seeing digitally rendered images of the Brezza online. The Brezza is sold via Arena dealerships, but here we have a digitally rendered image that shows how the Brezza facelift might look in the Nexa Blue shade.

The images have been digitally rendered, and it should be noted that the actual car may not look like this at all. As this is just a facelift, Maruti is unlikely to make many changes to the overall exterior design. In this rendered image that we have in this story, we see the front grille completely redesigned. It gets chrome elements on the top and bottom of the grille, which meet the redesigned headlamps on the SUV.

The front bumper on this SUV looks more like the pre-facelift Brezza, where we first saw the petrol engine. There is a chrome insert on the bumper, and the projector fog lamps are also integrated into the bumper. The faux skid plate and the lower air dam all give the Brezza a premium look.

Coming to the side profile, we see the thick black cladding, and the alloy wheel design is also different on this SUV. The side profile of the SUV remains the same, with roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, a sunroof, LED tail lamps, and so on.

What Will Change?

As mentioned above, the image seen here is just a digital render, and the actual car may not look like this. Based on the recent spy images, the Brezza facelift will come with minor exterior changes. The front grille, which is currently finished in gloss black, is likely to get a chrome or dark chrome treatment.

The projector headlamp is expected to remain the same, but we might see minor changes to the LED DRL design. The bumper might see minor revisions, and on the side, you would notice Vitara-like machine-cut alloy wheels.

At the rear, the bumper is expected to get minor changes, while the tail lamps are likely to remain the same.

On the inside, Maruti is expected to make revisions to the dashboard. We might see a Vitara-style layered dashboard with a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. We may also see features like a 360-degree camera and seat ventilation. The higher variants would continue to offer features like an electric sunroof.

Another change that we could see in the Brezza facelift is in the CNG version. The CNG variants might get an underbody CNG tank, similar to the Vitara. This would actually free up a lot of space in the boot and would also offer the convenience and low running cost of a CNG vehicle.

The Brezza facelift has been spotted with a 6-speed manual transmission. There are also reports suggesting that the Brezza might get a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder Boosterjet turbo petrol engine. If Maruti does this, we assume that they will follow a similar pattern to the Fronx. The lower variants may get the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual and automatic transmission, while the higher variants might get the turbo petrol engine.

Another possibility is that the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine will be retained, and Maruti will introduce a 6-speed manual transmission, which would help the engine become more efficient on highways and improve fuel economy.
