New turbo petrol engine

The biggest change in the 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is likely to be in the engine. According to information, it may be powered by the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine currently offered in the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. As this engine is less than 1200cc, it falls in the lower tax bracket.

The currently available Brezza is powered by a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine. But the new turbo petrol engine can offer more power and improved driving experience. The turbo petrol engine is likely to be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This gearbox will be considered more modern than the current 5-speed gearbox and will help in better cruising and improved mileage, especially on highways.

There is no clear information about the automatic gearbox yet. But like the Fronx, it is expected that a torque converter automatic option can also be offered.
