Expected features of new generation Dezire
The next generation Dezire will be built on the Heartect platform of the new Swift. Apart from this, many elements will be shared between both the cars. In the new Swift, the company uses the new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated Z-series petrol engine. This engine generates power of 82 PS and torque of 112 Nm. It replaced the 4-cylinder K-Series unit. The new engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT transmission. The engine numbers of Dezire will remain the same. Regarding the new Swift, the company claims that the mileage of its petrol MT variant is 24.8 Kmpl and the mileage of petrol AMT variant is 25.75 km/litre. In comparison, the mileage of Desire is considered to be slightly less. However, it is expected that the company can also launch CNG variant of Dezire along with petrol. The new Dezire will have features like a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, 6 airbags as standard, ESP, hill hold control, auto climate control, rear parking sensors, reverse camera, cruise. The special thing about the models seen in testing is that for the first time the car will get a sunroof.
