Maruti Suzuki will create fast charging network across the country, bringing the first electric SUV 'e VITARA'

In fact, vehicle manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India on Friday (December 20) said that it will bring a comprehensive EV infrastructure with charging stations and home charging solutions with its first offering in the electric vehicle (EV) segment 'Evitara'. The company plans to showcase the manufacturing-ready Evitara at the 'Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025' next month.

What did the senior executive officer of Maruti Suzuki India say?

The evitara is a global model made in India for the world which was recently unveiled by Suzuki Motor Corporation in Milan, Italy. “With decades of vehicle manufacturing expertise, we have combined advanced electric technology with customer interest to offer something truly transformative,” Partho Banerjee, senior executive officer (sales and marketing), Maruti Suzuki India, said in a statement. “

He said that the company has always believed that there is a need to create a holistic environment to promote EVs. Banerjee said, “A significant barrier to EV adoption is the lack of convenient charging. To tackle this issue, we are committed to introducing a reliable and comprehensive EV ecosystem with Evitara.” He said this will include home charging solutions as well as a nationwide network of fast charging facilities available at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service centres. He said that the company aims to make EVs accessible, convenient and attractive to customers.
