Student organizations protested against Sangh chief in Lucknow University, raised slogans of ‘Bhagwat Go Back’

Lucknow. There was a huge uproar as soon as RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived at Lucknow University on Wednesday morning. Students belonging to NSUI, Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha and Bhim Army started raising slogans of ‘Go Back Mohan Bhagwat’. When the police tried to stop the students, scuffles and scuffles started. Seeing the situation worsening, the police crammed the protesting students into jeeps and buses. When many students lay down, they were taken away by hanging. All the students were sent to Eco Garden. After this Mohan Bhagwat’s program started.

NSUI worker Shubham Yadav said that people associated with the union are being allowed to hold programs in the university, while opposition student organizations are not even given halls. Supreme Court has given stay on the UGC dispute. Despite this, no statement has come from the RSS chief.

What did the protesting students say?

Student Ahmed said that a person like Mohan Bhagwat should be banned in universities across the country, but here he is being given respect. Gauri Jaiswal said that we are not being allowed inside. The police are detaining the students. We want to be allowed inside. We are being told to come later. NSUI State General Secretary Shubham Kharwar says that organizations like Sangh and ABVP are given recent permission to organize programs in the university but other organizations like NSUI Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha are not allowed to organize programs in the university. Secondly, Mohan Bhagwat has nothing to do with the educational level, so it is completely wrong to invite such a person to the university and honor him as the chief guest. We will continue to showcase such Manuwadi thinking people in the university. Mainly Shubham Kharwar from NSUI, Ahmed Raza Khan from Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha, Jitu Kashyap from Ankit Yadav, Virat Shahar from Bhim Army participated in the protest.

Police came on alert even before the demonstration

The police had come into alert mode even before the students’ demonstration. Suspecting his participation in the protest, the police reached the hostel room of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha member Taukil Ghazi at 5 in the morning. He was put under house arrest. Many other members of the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha were taken into custody. Took him to Hasanganj police station.

Both areas should be accessible to every person in the society.
