In fact, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has decided to implement the much awaited ropeway project to ease the travel of the increasing number of devotees and elderly and disabled travelers. With this project, not only will the journey be safe, but the time taken will also be significantly reduced. Although some local people are opposing this project, the Shrine Board has assured that the project will be implemented keeping their concerns in mind.

Under the ropeway project, Tarakot road will be connected to the main building. Devotees will reach Sanjhi Chhat via ropeway and from there will travel on foot to Mata Ka Bhavan.
