National Mathematics Day (22nd December) on the occasion of the birth anniversary of great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan was celebrated with great enthusiasm and educational atmosphere at DAV Vidyut Public School Anpara. On this occasion, various programs were presented by the students showing the interest and usefulness of mathematics.
Under the program, the students impressed everyone by performing a drama based on the life of Ramanujan, presentation of BODMAS, Shapes and Angles through dance, mathematical quiz competition and reciting poems based on mathematics. Through the presentations, the message was given that mathematics is not just a game of numbers but is a subject related to life.
On this occasion, mathematics teachers Ruchi Dubey and Kiran Maurya while addressing the students said that mathematics is not a subject of fear but of understanding. It is not limited to just books and formulas, but is the art of developing logical thinking, problem solving and discipline.
He inspired the students to read and understand mathematics with interest and told that mathematics has an important role in daily life also.
There was active participation of school teachers and students in the program, due to which the organization of National Mathematics Day became informative and inspiring.
