‘Maulana angry over Shahrukh Khan being called a traitor… Said – Protest starts as soon as the name Muslim comes.

New Delhi. There is an uproar over the inclusion of Bangladeshi cricketer from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL. Amidst the protests, Imam Association defended KKR co-owner Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. Association President Maulana Sajid Rashidi said, ‘It has become a habit in this country to indiscriminately oppose anything without thinking or understanding the Constitution. As soon as a Muslim name comes, it becomes very easy to protest. Shahrukh Khan is a Muslim and the Bangladeshi cricketer he bought is also a Muslim, so protests are inevitable because hatred towards Muslims immediately comes to the fore here. What do people have to do with it? If they do something against the Constitution then the law will deal with it, right? The government will take action. Who are you to oppose and say that Shahrukh Khan should not do this?

National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi also reacted on this matter. He said, ‘Devkinandan Thakur and Sangeet Som should understand that Indian Muslims are also worried about the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh and are raising their voice unitedly for their safety and security. In such a situation, if Shahrukh Khan makes any agreement with any cricketer there then it is not an act of betrayal. This cannot be justified under any circumstances.

Who called Shahrukh Khan a traitor?
Spiritual guru Devkinandan Thakur has criticized Shahrukh Khan citing the ongoing violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. He urged KKR to remove Rahman from the team and use the contract amount of Rs 9.2 crore given to him to help Hindu families affected by the violence. At the same time, religious leader Rambhadracharya criticized Shahrukh Khan and said that amidst the atrocities on Hindus in the neighboring country, his IPL team has included a Bangladeshi cricketer. When asked about KKR buying Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman for IPL 2026, Rambhadracharya said, ‘It is very unfortunate, because his attitude has always been like a traitor.’
