Mayawati asked for proof from SP, Congress and AAP, said – without this it is just empty politics
Lucknow. Ever since the construction of the grand Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, the controversy regarding offerings is not stopping. Now Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president and former UP Chief Minister Mayawati has also entered this controversy. Mayawati has expressed deep concern over the allegations of theft and embezzlement of offerings not only in the Ram temple of Ayodhya but also in the famous Badrinath Dham of Uttarakhand. Demanding a thorough investigation into this entire matter, he has also advocated bringing the chief managers of temple trusts under the ambit of investigation.
Actually, Mayawati has raised many sharp questions one after the other regarding this issue on social media. He clearly said that whatever irregularities have taken place at the lower level, there is either the connivance of the chief managers or it has happened due to their gross negligence. In such a situation, the government and the SIT need to pay special attention to this sensitive matter so that milk can be turned into milk and water from water.
Management committees surrounded on Badrinath Dham and Ram temple offering controversy
In her statement, Mayawati has specifically mentioned Ayodhya as well as Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand. He said that after Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, UP, now the case of theft and embezzlement in the offerings of Badrinath Dham is in the news in Uttarakhand state too. According to the BSP supremo, it is very important to properly investigate the main managers associated with the trusts of both the famous and religious places where crores of people have faith.
1. U.P. After the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, now the cases of theft and embezzlement in Badrinath Dham offerings are in the news in Uttarakhand state too. Mayawati believes that if strict steps are not taken now, then other chief managers holding these posts in future may also misuse it. There is a general discussion in the local corridors and on social media that it is not possible for such a large-scale disturbance to occur without the instigation of top officials or managers.
Asked for evidence from SP, Congress and AAP, advised not to do politics
On one hand, Mayawati cornered the temple management, on the other hand she also took on the opposition parties doing politics on this issue. Taking on the senior leaders of Samajwadi Party (SP), Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), he said that the government should ask for concrete evidence from those leaders who are claiming theft and embezzlement of huge amount in the offerings of Ram Temple.
Mayawati bluntly said that taking evidence is necessary so that no real thief or embezzler can escape from the clutches of the law. If the opposition does not have any concrete evidence, it will be considered mere “empty politics” and not faith.
Attempt to divert attention from issues of public interest: BSP supremo
Questioning the intentions of the opposition parties, the BSP chief said that it is a common discussion that these parties have completely ignored the real issues of public interest. Leaving aside important issues like unemployment, inflation and development, these parties now want to contest the upcoming elections under the guise of this issue.
He made it clear that doing politics on centers of faith is a betrayal of the public. There should be an impartial investigation into the matter so that the trust of the devotees is not broken, but no one should be allowed to make electoral gains in its name. Now it remains to be seen how the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand as well as the opposition parties react to this big attack by Mayawati.
