Mayawati’s ‘big blast’ before the Parliament session: She said, ‘Stop the ruckus, otherwise the country will have to face the consequences’

Just before the beginning of the monsoon session of Parliament, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati has created a stir in the political circles. He has given a strong message to both the ruling party and the opposition. By making several posts one after the other on the social media platform ‘X’, Mayawati has appealed that this time the Parliament should not be allowed to fall victim to the ruckus, but serious discussions should be held on the burning problems of the country.

Mayawati’s concern over inflation and unemployment

Mayawati has directly raised the question whether this time the session will also be spent only in noise and adjournment? He said that the people of the country are extremely troubled by the issues like inflation, poverty, unemployment, women safety and continuous paper leaks in competitive examinations and there is a lot of anger among them. He stressed that the primary responsibility of the Parliament is to listen to the problems of the common people and take steps towards concrete solutions to them. He said in clear words that merely making political allegations against each other will not reduce the problems of the people.

From Ram temple to international tension, big questions raised

Mayawati has also listed a list of issues on which she wants a heated debate in Parliament. Raising the issue of alleged theft of offerings in the Ram temple, he said that the public is demanding answers regarding this and this issue should also be echoed in the Parliament. Apart from this, he also expressed concern over issues like increasing crimes against women, corruption, irregularities in election freebies and demolition of illegal colonies.

Not only this, Mayawati, while mentioning the increasing tensions at the international level like America-Israel-Iran crisis and the falling rupee, also described it as a big threat to the country’s economy. He said in a warning tone that if there is no meaningful discussion on these serious issues, the country may have to suffer huge losses.

Appeal to democratic traditions

Mayawati finally appealed that the Parliament should be run completely peacefully, smoothly and in accordance with democratic norms. He said that the public expects that their elected representatives will sit in the House and find meaningful solutions to the issues related to the public, and not turn the House into an arena. It is noteworthy that Mayawati had earlier also expressed her displeasure over the disrupted proceedings of Parliament, and her latest statement is being considered very important in view of the tussle between the opposition and the government during the session.
