Mayawati’s big statement on Prime Minister Modi’s appeal, said- there is nothing much left to lose
Lucknow, 12 May. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati has expressed concern over the possible energy and economic crisis in the country due to the ongoing tension between America, Israel and Iran. He said that the increase in prices of essential commodities including petrol, diesel and cooking gas can have a serious impact on the general public. Mayawati appealed to the Central and State Governments to take concrete steps to provide relief to the poor and working families who are facing the brunt of the Corona period and inflation, so that they can get support in this hour of crisis.
BSP chief Mayawati wrote on social media platform There is serious apprehension.
He further wrote that at such a time, when about 100 crore people of the country, who are facing the crisis of even their livelihood after the severe blow of the Corona period, have nothing much left to be restrained and lose, then in such a situation, the central and state governments should definitely take measures to do something better by giving some relief to those poor and hardworking families to support them, then it would be appropriate in the interest of the people and the country, such is the common sentiment.
It is noteworthy that amidst the Iran crisis and global instability, the Prime Minister has appealed to the countrymen to reduce the consumption of petrol and diesel, adopt more and more public transport, avoid unnecessary foreign trips, postpone the purchase of gold for a year, give priority to work from home and farmers have appealed to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers by 50 percent. The government argues that this will help in reducing the impact on energy consumption, import pressure and foreign exchange reserves. However, opposition parties are raising questions on the central government regarding this appeal. The opposition says that putting additional burden of “restraint” on the common people who are already struggling with inflation, unemployment and economic pressure is not the solution to the problems.
