Mathura. The councilors of the Municipal Corporation have alleged that the board meeting of the Municipal Corporation has not been called. Municipal Corporation Mayor Vinod Aggarwal has presented his side on this. The Mayor says that confusion is being created regarding the Municipal Corporation board meeting. Some process has to be completed before the board meeting of the Municipal Corporation, after completion of this process the board meeting can be called. The Mayor has issued a press note and presented his stand in the media regarding the board meeting.
Councilors have demanded a board meeting. The Mayor has said that I want to inform the people of Municipal Corporation Mathura Vrindavan that the last meeting of the board was held on 13 September 2024. In which a total of 29 proposals were passed unanimously in three ways: agenda proposal, supplementary proposal and special permission of the Mayor. After this board meeting, the executive meeting as announced in the meeting was held on October 1, 2024. In which five proposals were passed unanimously.
After these meetings, the Municipal Commissioner objected to some of the resolutions passed in these meetings and the executive announced, citing the Municipal Corporation Act. In order to prepare the agenda of the next board meeting, it is necessary to clarify the status of the proposals passed in these meetings, which proposals have been approved by the Municipal Commissioner and which proposals have been invalidated.
So that in the next board meeting, the corporation can be informed about the action taken on valid proposals and the invalid proposals can be included in the agenda again. To provide this information, I sent two letters to the Municipal Commissioner in December, but till now no proper reply has been given by the Municipal Commissioner.
List of proposals approved by the Municipal Commissioner along with serial numbers, list of proposals rejected, full details of action taken on approved proposals and if no action has been taken, the reason for the same should be provided. As soon as this information is received, it will be possible to call a board meeting. There is no delay from my side in holding the board meeting.
Apart from this, the misconception is being spread among the councilors in a conspiracy sponsored manner by the Municipal Commissioner that the 15th Finance meeting is not being conducted by the Mayor. Whereas the truth is that the 15th Finance Tied Grant meeting has been held and guidelines have been given to the officials for the allocation of untied grant. In which instructions have been given to reserve Rs 20 crore, about Rs 30 lakh each for construction work in each ward, Rs 10 crore for lighting work and Rs 15 crore for solving public problems received in the Mayor's office.
After the Municipal Commissioner sends the untied grant proposal in this format, the 15th financial untied grant meeting will also be held. There is no delay from my side. There have been obstructions and irregularities in the development works by the Municipal Commissioner since the beginning and this continues. In which their mentality against the development plans of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister is exposed.
