Students from Qom are also expected to join the groups in Urmia. AIMSA noted that several remaining students are monitoring the safe arrival of the first group before leaving via the same route. The move comes as the students, using a transit route through the Armenian border, are scheduled to travel via Dubai and reach the national capital Delhi at around 1.25 am on March 15. The second group of students is expected to arrive on March 16. Besides, students of Qom are also preparing to join the transit group. Before being cleared to proceed to the border, students must present a confirmed flight ticket from Armenia to India at the Embassy. A ten dollar visa fee must be paid at the Armenia crossing. The All India Medical Students Association (AIMSA) said the rest of the students are closely monitoring the travel of the first group. The association said the students told AIMSA that if the first group reaches India safely, other students will also take the same route. There is currently no official evacuation plan from the government and the students who are choosing this route are doing so on their own responsibility and are maintaining a buffer of five to seven days to pass through Armenia. The Indian Embassy in Iran is facilitating the evacuation of Indian students through the Armenian land border. Providing logistics support to reach the border. The proposed plan calls for students to travel to Qom for an overnight stay at embassy-arranged accommodation and then proceed to the Zulfa border to enter Armenia. Students have been advised to keep a gap of five to seven days between leaving Iran and their scheduled flight from Armenia.
