Meet actor who was poisoned by his wife, was betrayed by his best friend, his son is missing, he is…

Some actors have the remarkable ability to make their audience laugh, bringing joy to countless lives with their on-screen characters. But, behind the laughter, there are times when these same individuals face struggles off-screen, suffering in silence without anyone knowing. Today, we will talk about one such actor whose on-screen humour masked the pain he endured in his personal life.

The actor talked about his marriage

Sandeep Anand is a famous actor known for his roles in hit shows like FIR and May I Come In Madam. His characters on-screen have brought laughter to the audience, but his personal life has been filled with heartache. His marriage to his ex-wife, Shraddha, was an arranged one, and together, they have a son, Kiaan. However, since their divorce, the actor has been separated from his child and he has no idea where his son is. Describing the marriage as ‘fraudulent’, he opened up about the truth in an interview with Digital Commentary. He shared how, when he married, no one seemed interested, but once his divorce was finalized, the media began publishing news about him.

He also mentioned the pain of being misunderstood and judged. He said, “You ruined the life of the person who brought smiles to your faces for so many years.” He added that even when he tried to approach someone, they misunderstood him after reading false information online. He felt betrayed by the marriage, admitting that he hardly knew his wife before they married. He said, “I had met her two or three times. I had come to Mumbai after the marriage. I would wake up every morning and go to the set.”

He said that he was being given ‘slow poison’

Sandeep Anand mentioned that he used to spend very little time at home – barely five days a month – and communication was limited. He revealed how he was the only one managing everything, which took a toll on his health. “I was being given slow poison”, he said, hinting at the emotional and physical strain he was undergoing. Sandeep’s health deteriorated during his time on the show May I Come In Madam, where he gained significant weight, describing himself as ‘bloated like ginger’.

He also revealed that for two years after his divorce, he knew nothing. He said, “Later, I found out that it was all a fraud, done as part of a plan.” The actor learned that his childhood friend had played a major role in the deceit. He said, “Now, he’s disappeared with my wife and son. Everyone is missing. He ran away after cheating on me. It doesn’t matter to me now.”

Sandeep also shared how he had transferred everything he owned to his ex-wife’s name at the time of the divorce, including the house he had bought before his son was born, saying, “I have lived in an ashram. It doesn’t matter to me anymore.”
