Meet actress who worked in B-grade films, got trapped in crores of debt, spent nights on the streets, ate food from plastic bags, she is now…

In the initial days of her career, she appeared in B-grade films. However, everything changed when she transitioned to the television industry.

It is often said that those who work hard eventually reap the fruits of success. However, the definition of hard work varies for everyone, and when it comes to the showbiz industry, each individual has a unique story of struggle. Recently, a popular and renowned TV actress shared her inspiring journey of toiling hard to become a star on the small screen.

In the initial days of her career, she appeared in B-grade films. However, everything changed when she transitioned to the television industry. From working alongside Sreejita De to the late actor Sidharth Shukla, this actress has left a significant mark on the small screen. If you haven’t guessed yet, the actress is none other than Rashami Desai.

In a recent interview, Rashami opened up about her journey and the hardships she endured. She shared, “I had bought a house and had a loan of Rs 2.5 crore, apart from a total debt of around Rs 3.25 to Rs 3.5 crore. I thought everything was fine and normal, but then my show abruptly came to an end. I found myself on the streets for four days. I had an Audi A6 where I used to sleep. I stored my belongings at my manager’s house and completely distanced myself from my family.”

Rashami revealed a shocking phase of her life when she survived on meals costing just Rs 20, often shared with rickshaw drivers. “Those four days were incredibly difficult for me. I realized I hadn’t even thought about myself. I got so caught up in everything that I forgot about my own well-being. I went through a divorce, and my friends felt I was difficult because I didn’t express much. Even my family thought all my decisions were wrong,” she said.

Recalling those challenging days, Rashami said, “I remember eating food worth only Rs 20 from rickshaw pullers, and sometimes even finding pebbles in the food. Those four days were the hardest of my life.”

However, Rashami’s perseverance paid off. Over time, her life took a turn for the better, both personally and professionally. Today, she is one of the highest-paid actresses in the television industry.
