Ishika Taneja, crowned Miss India in 2017, later achieved the title of Business Woman of the World at Miss World Tourism.
There are various actors in the Bollywood industry who either were engineers or became one after quitting. However, not many actors or actresses have chosen the path of spirituality after bidding farewell to the showbiz industry. The one we are talking about today is someone who is not just an actress, but also a Miss India and Miss World Tourism. After reaching the pinnacle of success in her career, this actress called it quits for good and became a Sadhvi. She also urged the younger generation to connect with religion. We are talking about Ishika Taneja.
Ishika Taneja, crowned Miss India in 2017, later achieved the title of Business Woman of the World at Miss World Tourism. In terms of her film career, she appeared in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar and also featured in the show Shadowdirected by Vikram Bhatt. Also, Ishika Taneja holds a record for makeup in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ishika recently shared a picture on the occasion of New Year’s, where she revealed her journey to Sanatan Dharma. She wrote, “Happy English New Year – A Year of 360 Transformation – From Filmy Drama to Sanatan Dharma. 1 Jan 24 – 1 Jan 25. Revisiting The same Bhasm Aarti – where it all started. That’s the Power of Mahakaal. I hope you all also get the blessing of Mahakaal and find your Purpose.”

In search of enlightenment, Ishika Taneja, traveled from Delhi to Jabalpur, where she received Guru Diksha from Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati of Dwarka Sharada Peeth. Before granting her Diksha and accepting her as a disciple, Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati addressed Ishika Taneja’s doubts through a thoughtful debate and then initiated her with the Guru Mantra.
Explaining the reason for taking initiation from Shankaracharya, she said, “I did a lot for myself. Won many awards, made many records, but that journey was completely different. Because there was name and fame in it, but there was no peace and self-satisfaction. So leaving that journey, I have now decided to go on the journey of spirituality. The happiness that is found in this journey, by serving Sanatan Dharma and people, cannot be compared with any other happiness.”
