As an actor, the process of teaching and learning never ends. When a new comers steps into the world of cinema, they often grapple with doubts about whether they can carve their own identity in such a competitive world. This insecurity can especially heightened during their debut film, when working alongside a senior actor. The feelings of nervousness and fear naturally amplify during such instances. A similar moment unfolded many years ago with an actress while shooting for her debut film. She experienced such an unbelievable moment that it left her in shock and tears for several hours.

Aarti Chabria made her debut in Hindi film industry in 2001 with the film Lajja. Produced and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the action drama features stalwarts including Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Mahima Chaudhary, Sonali Bendre, Jackie Shroff, Ajay Devgan and Gulshan Grover. In her very first film only, Aarti shared screen-space with such high-prolific actors.

Well, there was scene in the film where Rekha had to slap Aarti several times. According to reports, the actress had no clue about it and when the whole scene was shot, Aarti was left shocked and traumatised. In fact, she kept crying on the set and as was unable to get out of it. It was only after, when Rekha and director Rajkumar Santoshi calmed her down and explained her the whole process. She then stopped crying and continued to shoot her rest of the scenes.

Following her debut, Aarti worked with many superstars including Nakul Kapoor in Who is better than you, Akshay Kumar in Awara Paagal DeewanaGovinda in Raja Bhaiya and Salman Khan in Partner.

Although, her career did not succeed in Bollywood, she even tried her luck in films in other languages, but did not achieve stardom there to. Following that, Aarti distanced herself from the world of glitz and glam. She got engaged to Australia-based chartered accountant Visharad Beedassy in Mauritius and tied the knot with him in 2019 in a close ceremony in Mumbai. At the age of 41, she became mother to a baby Yuvan on March 4. During an interview, the actress revealed that her journey to become a mother wasn’t easy. Speaking to HT City, Aarti said, “When you are delivering at 41, it’s not as easy as when you are in your 20s or 30s.”

Today, Aarti Chabria has distanced herself from the glamour world and is working as a lifestyle influencer, earning from her fashion and lifestyle videos on Instagram and YouTube.
