One such actor who proved his mettle in the industry through grey shades is Prem Chopra, the formidable villain of Hindi cinema. Not only in Bollywood, but Prem also made a name for himself in Punjabi cinema. Although he entered the industry with aspirations of becoming a hero, he gained recognition through his negative roles. Actress Hema Malini was so frightened by him on set that she would often forget her dialogues. Interestingly, Raj Kapoor and Prem Chopra were related through their wives, Krishna Malhotra and Uma Malhotra, who were sisters.

Reports claim that Hema would tremble whenever he looked in her direction. Recently, in an interview, Hema revealed that during the shoot for the film Raja Jani, she felt quite nervous while working with him.

Prem Chopra is married to Uma, the sister of actor and director Raj Kapoor’s wife, Krishna. He and Uma have three daughters: Rakita, Punita, and Prerna. Interestingly, none of his daughters chose acting as a career, and all three married individuals connected to the film industry. Prem Chopra’s youngest son-in-law is Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi.
