Anant Ambani was highly asthmatic so he was on steroids which cause him significant weight gain in the past. But successfully, he lost 108 kgs in just 18 months with the support of his fitness trainer Vinnod Channa.

Vinnod Channa created a customised diet and workout plan for his billionaire client, Anant Ambani. Anant used to walk 21 kilometers daily and practiced yoga for various health benefits. Moreover, he focused on functional training and flexibility exercises to build lean muscle and improve overall fitness.

In terms of diet, Anant focused on nutritional guidance, emphasised the importance of wholesome foods, portion control and mindful eating. He was eating between 1200-1400 calories every day. He had a basic diet that included more fruits and vegetables.

Besides proper diet and exercise, Anant used to prioritize adequate sleep, managed stress and focused on healthy work-life balance.

Vinod Channa has become a well-known fitness trainers today. But he never wanted to be fitness trainer first. He did several jobs including housekeeping and security, before he could find his true calling. He also revealed that as a child he was bullied for being too skinny. In several interviews, he has shared his experiences of undernourishment and how he used to skip meals.

Today, he has trained some of the high-prolific people, including Nita Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Ananya Birla, and numerous Bollywood stars, including John Abraham, Shilpa Shetty, Harshvardhan Rane, Vivek Oberoi and Arjun Rampal. As per a report by DNA, Vinod charges Rs 1.5 lakh for 12 training sessions (Rs 12,500 per approx.). Other reports indicate that for personal training sessions he charges between Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 5 lakh.
