Megan Thee Stallion opens up on being ‘comfy’ with beau Klay Thompson

For Megan Thee Stallion, being in the “lover girl” era wasn’t part of her plan; it just happened.

Reflecting on her relationship with Dallas Mavericks player Klay Thompson, the multi-Grammy-winning rapper admitted she didn’t see it coming.

“Well, I never want to tell (anybody) to just jump into a relationship because everyone else has one, and I’m not going to tell you to do it just because you feel you have to,” Stallion said.

She added honestly that she didn’t know she would end up in a relationship.

Instead, love arrived when Stallion was focusing on herself, working on self-love and mental health.

“I think that because I finally started being in a better mental space about myself and my life, and I had already been doing a lot of work to heal,” she recalled.

Stallion also mentioned that she was going to therapy and keeping herself busy with different activities. She believes that was God’s way of connecting her with someone who truly loves her.

Now, the WAP singer, who made her red carpet debut with Thompson on her arm in July 2025, says she feels a different kind of ease.

“This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable,” Stallion said with her bubbly giggle. “I’m comfy, babe!”
