Mercedes-Benz India launches GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG line, know price and features
New Delhi: Mercedes-Benz India has introduced a new addition to its luxury SUV lineup. The company has launched a new AMG Line trim in the GLE 300d 4MATIC, which gives this SUV an even more sporty look. The price of this new Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line has been kept at Rs 97.85 lakh. This new model will replace the Professional Line trim currently being sold. Mercedes-Benz already offers the AMG Line on the GLE 450d and GLE 450 variants, and this new variant completes the lineup.
Know how the engine is
The new GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which generates 265 bhp of power and 550 Nm of peak torque. A 48-volt mild-hybrid integrated starter-generator (ISG) has been added to it, which provides 20 bhp and 220 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. The GLE 300d can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.9 seconds, and its top speed is 230 kmph.
Design and features
The GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line has received several design upgrades. It has a new diamond grille with chrome finish, with a large three-pointed star integrated in the centre. Additionally, it includes an AMG front apron, diffuser-like rear apron, and 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, which come in Tremolite Grey. The SUV also gets a bigger braking system with perforated front disc brakes. This model has the latest generation MBUX infotainment system, which comes with more comfort and controls. Additionally, a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system is also included.

In the Indian market, the Mercedes-Benz GLE will compete with several luxury SUVs like the BMW X5, Audi Q7, Lexus RX, and the Volvo XC90. The model is one of Mercedes-Benz's best-selling models, and its appeal has further increased with the new AMG Line trim.
