Luxury SUVs: German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has given a big hint about its upcoming SUV range. The company recently released a teaser, which shows three SUVs under the covers. It is believed that these are the facelift versions of Mercedes GLE, GLE Coupe and GLS, which will soon be launched in the global market. This step of the company is being considered as part of its strategy to introduce its popular SUVs with new updates, so as to strengthen its hold amidst the increasing competition.
Premium changes will be available in design
Based on the teaser, it is expected that the exterior design will be made more attractive in the GLE and GLE Coupe facelift. New LED headlamps and taillights, updated front grille and revised bumper can be seen in these. With this, the road presence of SUVs will be better than before.
The cabin will be equipped with hi-tech features
Talking about the interior, Mercedes-Benz can provide the latest MBUX infotainment system in these SUVs. It will include a larger touchscreen display, advanced voice control and an improved user interface. Additionally, features like connected car technology, over-the-air (OTA) updates and augmented reality navigation can also be found.
Hybrid support will be available in engine option
The new SUVs can be offered with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. It will also include mild-hybrid technology, which will ensure better performance along with fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
You will get more luxury experience in GLS
The flagship SUV GLS will focus exclusively on comfort and luxury. Updated air suspension, better cabin insulation and more premium interior can be seen in it. The top variant is likely to get a mild-hybrid system with a V8 engine.
Advanced Safety Features
New generation driver assistance systems will be provided in all these SUVs. This will include better automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist and other safety features, which will make driving more safe.
Launch timeline and price
Mercedes-Benz may launch these SUVs globally by mid-2026. Their entry in India is expected to happen sometime after this. Talking about the price, the starting price of GLE facelift could be more than ₹ 1 crore (ex-showroom).
Mercedes-Benz is preparing to strengthen its SUV portfolio with new updates. The facelift models of GLE, GLE Coupe and GLS can give tough competition to companies like BMW and Audi in the luxury SUV segment.
