In the Indian auto market over the years Mercedes Benz is offering their luxury cars in India. At present, electric cars are getting good demand in the country. Considering this demand, many auto companies have launched their best EVs. Mercedes is not behind. Recently the company has introduced its new electric car in India. Interestingly, this car claims to offer the highest range.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced its new CLA electric sedan car in India. It is a new and modern electric car from the company, which comes with long range and fast charging. The pre-booking of this car will start from 10 March 2026 and it will be officially launched in April. Although the price of the car is yet to be announced, it is expected to be between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Battery and performance

The new CLA Electric is based on Mercedes-Benz’s MMA (Mercedes Modular Architecture) platform. This car will be available in five attractive colors namely Polar White, Cosmic Black, Alpine Grey, Clear Blue and Patagonia Red.

This electric sedan has an advanced electric system of 800 volts. It has a large 85kWh battery that is connected to a rear-mounted electric motor. This motor produces 268bhp of power. As per the company’s claim, this car can run up to 792 kilometers on a single full charge, which certainly makes this car one of the most range-providing cars.

Equipped with a 2-speed transmission, this car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.7 seconds. Also, the company claims that the 240kW DC fast charging support can provide a range of around 400 kilometers in just 20 minutes.

Size and design

The car measures 4,723 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,468 mm in height. A wheelbase of 2,790 mm offers spacious cabin space. It has 405 liters of boot space and 101 liters of front trunk.

In terms of car design, 142 small bright stars are given on the closed front grill, which gives the car a distinct identity. Apart from this, there are modern design elements like star-shape LED DRLs, twin-pod headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles and connected LED taillamps.

Equipped with advanced features

The car will be available in 250+ variants in India. It features a large 14-inch touchscreen, which runs on the new MB.OS system. A 10.25-inch digital driver display is also provided.

Features include six 100W USB-C fast charging ports, wireless charging, OTA updates, panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control. A camera and radar-based Level 2 ADAS system is also offered for safety.
